my name's gabriel, i'm 17 years old, and i'm a pangender trans guy with a passion for art and many other things :]

2. How long have you been making websites?
technically only since last year (2024), but i had a couple of attempts in earlier years.

3. And what got you into the hobby?
looking at other people's personal website and getting incredibly inspired by them

4. What kind of website are you most interested in?
personal blogs, art focused sites, and fansites

5. What's your workflow? Do you plan your websites out thoroughly or do you come up with the design as you go along?
i just make shit up on the spot and hope that it works LMFAO

6. Please link to your biggest inspirations.
Ballonlea has been my biggest inspo from the very beginning!

7. What's your favourite part about making websites?
i'm a big fan of the creative freedom i have and just being able to say/do whatever without the anxiety of possibly being judged

8. And the thing you struggle with the most?
being consistent with updates and finishing work-in-progress stuff

9. Do you keep the same layout on all of your pages? Or do you use different ones?
i try to have a bit of variety so (almost) every click feels like an adventure :]

10. How confident are you with CSS?
i'd say i'm pretty confident

11. Do you know how to correctly use <dl>?
never used it before, so no

12. What is your favourite HTML element?

13. If you're making a new web page from scratch, what is the first thing you do?
add the most important elements like the header, body/main content area and footer and then style everything in css before adding anything else

14. Do you know JavaScript?
barely

16. Does your website have a theme that you stick to?

17. Are you more focused on content or design?
uhhhh both

18. Do you own a domain name? If not, would you ever want to?
i don't got that kinda money

i think they're neat

i love them everyone should make them

i don't see any issue with them personally

23. If you started over again, would you make something similar or completely different?
i'd probably try something brand new, but take some inspiration from what i have currently

24. Are you envious of other people's websites?
very much so but i try my hardest to stay confident in my own, even if i'm not as skilled or knowledgeable as others

27. Do you host your image files on your web server, or on another host?
i host all of my images on filegarden since i don't wanna clog up file space on my neocities

28. This might not be relevant to you, but what's your opinion on the Neocities vs. Nekoweb debate?
i think that it's stupid and you should just use whatever host you prefer. it doesn't matter. i just prefer neocities cuz i feel like there's more of an emphasis on community

29. How much server space would you estimate your main website takes up?
it says 1.61 MB LMFAO that's so little

30. Do you keep local backups of your files?
yes :3

31. Do you prefer simple or highly visual websites?
visual sites, i really like seeing how cool people make them look

32. Do you stick to certain colours? Do you do that on purpose, or is it your subconscious?
i use mostly different shades of red cuz it's my favorite

nope, even if i feel demotivated sometimes i wanna keep my site up forever :]

my therapist and school counselor lol

pretty muuch regularly

not really, i sorta just add onto it as time goes on

i'd say it's both me and my hobbies focused

no

i think it'd be much less fun if i did. i don't have a job yet but i wanna make money off of my art somehow

if i could i would stop using all social media permanently but so many artists i love are only on there. i don't use them much outside of just posting and looking at art. my site exists as an escape and distraction from the hell that is The Current State Of Social Media

43. How about instant messengers? Do you use a mainstream one like Discord or Telegram? Or something like Matrix? Do you avoid them?
discord has been my main method of socializing for almost a decade and i don't intend to stop unless it completely goes under

I only have this site + another one that's for a fangame I'm helping my friend make

this site is a visual projection of my brain and my brain is never focused on one thing
